What a sight!

So last night I come home (LVT/defensive driving)training in Tulsa. My mom and niece were at the house watching the kids because I couldn't make it home in time for Buffy to go to school. I make it home about 5:30 and I have to feed the kids, get the boys dressed for scouts, load the car, and get out the door to make the pack meeting by 7:00.

So left overs it is. I heat up some hamburger patties I had grilled two nights earlier, throw them on buns, serve up some chips and give the order to eat. This was a huge risk because I think my kids are unAmerican. They aren't really fond of burgers. They'll eat a hot dog every meal of every day, but not a burger. This totally puzzles me because I don't just cook a plain old burger. I use plenty of seasoning and make sure they aren't just another burger. The older three choked them down, Bri ate like she hadn't eaten in a month, and Bella gave me the polite, "No way am I eating this," and went on about her business.

In the meantime, I am frantically looking for all the pieces to the scout uniforms because 8 and 6 year old boys are the exact opposite of organized and responsible. As my mom used to say, "They would lose their head if it wasn't attached." So I wade into the see of toys as I am cursing under my breath and finally find everything they are going to need.

I get them dressed, load the car, and we are out the door at 6:53, just in time to get to the school for the meeting.

When we get to the school I let the boys go ahead and unload the double stroller to put Bella and Bri in. I make sure Carleigh stays within shouting distance and we are off to the meeting. I walk in pushing a double stroller and Carleigh in tow and it hits me. Holy Crap, this guy is rolling in here with 5 kids in tow.......by himself.
