How 'bout them Cowboys?????? What a fantastic weekend.
Buffy and I went up to the game this weekend and watched the Cowboys put it on Baylor 34-6. We also did a some tailgating with my wife stepping up to perform the chef duties. She made an amazing white chicken chili. The tailgaters around us were completely envious so passed out samples in the Cowboy spirit.
We tried a new tailgating spot this week and it worked out very well for us. My friends and brother give me a hard time because it ususally takes me all season to really get prepared for the tailgating and have everything together. I actually had everything but a lighter and those aren't usually too hard to come by.
I spent the weekend in Houston doing some training for the job. I was also able to visit one of my good buds, John Emanuel. With the exception of him trying to electricute me in the hot tub he rolled out the red carpet for me with steaks and chops and cold beer. Prayers go to him and his lovely wife. They are expecting their first child any day. May GOD look over them and protect them in this time.
I am so stoked for this week. I have a very good friend that lives outside of Lufkin, TX and is a diehard Longhorn fan. I have always taken a "no trash talk" approach to this game. Not this week. The Cowboys always put a stompin' on Texas in the first half and then give it away in the second half. So.....LET THE TRASH TALK BEGIN!!! We are going to kick the #$%^ out of Texas. The only "Colt" McCoy will want to pull out of his saddlebag is a Colt 45 to ease that whoopin' he is going to take.
I am sick of losing to those arrogant, no football playin', glorified steers.
Let's go Cowboys. BEAT TEXAS!!! (I think I'll be able to find a Sooner or two to back me on that.)
hello?
